IN THAILAND, THERE WAS THOUGHT TO REPLACE THE MANDATORY 14-DAY QUARANTINE FOR TOURISTS
The Thai authorities have offered special excursion programs to foreign tourists. They will replace the forced stay at the hotel of new arrivals from abroad. What other opportunities does "alternative quarantine" open?
Tourists will now be able to avoid being in a room for the first two weeks, according to Thai health officials. Instead, they are offered a choice of several excursion routes in some provinces of the country.
The specific areas where foreigners will be admitted have yet to be determined. It is clear that the first place will be the safety of both the tourists themselves and the local population.
All hotels selected for the project must receive a certificate confirming their compliance with the established sanitary requirements.
At the same time, each tourist will be provided with a special bracelet that allows you to track his location and movement at any time.
But the responsibility for the guests and their compliance with the rules of conduct was decided to be assigned to the local host travel agencies.
It is especially emphasized that any deviation from the route or change in the developed program is fraught with new quarantine measures, now real ones, with isolation.
Another challenge is to separate the flows of locals and tourists. They, as conceived by the developers, should not intersect anywhere in order to prevent the possible spread of the infection.
The authorities of several tourist provinces of the country have already announced their readiness to receive tourists. Among them are both well-known to Russians and completely new ones: Phuket, Rayong, Chonburi, Surat Thani, etc.
Recall that in order to enter Thailand, tourists must have with them the latest coronavirus test results - no older than 72 hours, as well as a hotel voucher and a return ticket.
All foreigners who have entered Thailand today must spend the first 2 weeks in isolation and only then can they freely travel around the country. For this, 55 special state institutions and 84 - alternative, that is, commercial ones, have been organized.
Experts believe that an alternative to the traditional quarantine, when guests are forced to sit around in their rooms for a long time, will attract additional tourists to Thailand.
After all, now rest with excursions, tastings, medical procedures, sessions of wellness massage can begin right from the first day.
As a reminder, foreign tourists can visit Thailand starting from October 15th. To do this, they will need to obtain special tourist visas valid for up to 90 days and the possibility of a double extension up to 270 days.
